Einstein said that the distinction between the past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion. The “broken”, therefore, time division is a permanent “damage” to the human perception that only the poet and novelist can rectify. This absolute break in the flow of time modulates the personal time. And each time this error occurs time knits an event. 

Water is dripping until the cup is filled. The spectator picks up the cup, climbs the ladder and empties it into the tube while listening to the amplified sound of dripping water. A cup of time.
